The McMurray Lab is searching for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to contribute to their ongoing behavioral neuroscience research. This position is to support our animal research (rat) on the immediate and lasting neurocognitive effects of psychedelics (including psilocybin). This research will rely on a variety of behavioral and systems-level neuroscience methods, including operant and non-operant behavioral tests, molecular/histological, chemogenetic, and in vivo neurophysiology methods (electrophysiology and photometry). This position is funded through a sponsored research agreement between Miami University and PsyBio Therapeutics, Inc. (psybiolife.com) and will be for a 1-year term, with the option for renewal contingent on performance. The McMurray Lab is a relatively small, but growing lab in the Department of Psychology.
