McMurray Lab hosts 4th graders
Updated: Apr 25, 2019
As part of our ongoing outreach to K-12 students, 4th graders from Bogan, Marshall, and Kramer elementary schools visited the lab to continue our discussions on neuroscience. While here, students learned about how the brain adapts to our changing world (by using the visual system as an example), saw real neurons from mice, voles, and rabbits in microscopes, and learned about neuroanatomy by studying real sheep brains. Special thanks to Shannon Thompson, Elizabeth Sneddon, and Dani Tapp for their assistance with the program, and to Joe Heilman and Heidi Sebald (the teachers).
